Our Activities

As a member, you'll have access to:

  • Trainings: We regularly organize dressage and jumping training sessions, along with special courses from time to time. Don't worry if you don't have your own horse; we provide school horses for these sessions.

  • Competitions: Qualified riders have the opportunity to represent Switzerland in national student riding competitions in Germany (known as CHUs) and at international student riding tournaments (known as SRNCs). These competitions are conducted on provided horses, so there's no need to bring your own.

  • Social events: Beyond horseback riding, we love spending time together. Whether it's at our regular meetups, sunny BBQs by Lake Zurich, collective outings to parties, or traveling in small groups, there's always something happening.

Our Member Clubs

The Swiss Student Riders is the national umbrella organization for all student riding clubs in Switzerland. Below, you'll find our member clubs. These are open to members from any higher education institution. While we recommend joining a local club, you are free to become a member of any club you choose.

Zurich

The Academic Equestrian Section Zurich, or simply ARS Zurich, serves students from the Zurich and St. Gallen areas.

Berne

The Academic Riding Club Bern, or ARK Berne for short, caters to students in and around the Bern area.

Is a club missing, or do you want to start a student riding club at your university?

"Through the student riders, I've made many friends both nationally and internationally, and have had the opportunity to ride their horses all across Europe."
